CT Technologist
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists to support operations at the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse NY 13210. Services to be provided include the full range of CT Imaging care for inpatient and outpatient VA patients to include call shift. Multiple shift schedules with on-call service are available. Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for CT imaging procedures
- Perform a full range of CT examinations including:
- Abdomen, chest, head/neck, spine, CTA, PE protocol, GI bleed
- Cardiac CT, interventional CT, biopsies, post‑EVAR, renal mass studies
- Administer contrast agents and monitor patient response
- Operate CT scanners (including multi‑slice/128‑slice systems)
- Perform general radiographic imaging as required
- Track and document CT radiation doses
- Ensure high‑quality imaging and correct artifacts when necessary
- Maintain sterile supplies and assist with interventional procedures
- Enter imaging data and documentation into VA systems
- Follow ALARA radiation safety principles and infection control policies
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and staff
Qualifications
- ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography
- Active, unrestricted Radiologic Technology license (U.S.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CT imaging
- Experience with advanced CT procedures (cardiac, interventional, 3D reconstruction)
- Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and contrast protocols
- PACS and electronic documentation experience
- English language proficiency
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Completion of VA credentialing, training, and background requirements
- Ongoing continuing education and competency validation

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
