Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist to support operations at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System - Seattle Campus located at 1660 South Columbian Way, Seattle, WA 98108. Responsibilities
- Operate EEG and related neurodiagnostic equipment to record brain electrical activity
- Independently perform routine and non‑standard EEG and EP procedures, including:
- Awake and sleep studies
- Portable EEGs
- ECS
- Long‑term monitoring (LTM/CCTV EEG), including extended 10/20 electrode placement
- Perform high‑quality EEG studies in complex environments such as:
- Operating rooms
- Intensive care units (ICU)
- Research settings
- Analyze EEG data in real time to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient procedures
- Verify patient identity using two approved identifiers and follow all VHA patient safety protocols
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and cooperation
- Position and transfer patients using safe patient‑handling techniques
- Document procedures, results, and quality data in VA systems (CPRS/VistA)
- Communicate study results and relevant clinical information to neurologists and care teams
- Maintain, clean, and perform quality assurance on EEG equipment
- Comply with infection control, sterilization, and reusable medical equipment (RME) standards
- Participate in quality improvement activities and report patient outcome data as required
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate closely with Neurology Service and the Epilepsy Center of Excellence
- Attend staff meetings and complete administrative duties as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on clinical or operational needs
Qualifications
- Current registration or eligibility through:
- American Board of Registration of EEG, CNIM and EP Technologists (ABRET), or
- American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET)
- Minimum two (2) years of current EEG Technologist experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Recent experience in a hospital setting, including:
- Outpatient clinics
- Inpatient units
- Emergency Department (ED)
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
