Interventional Radiology Nurse (IR RN)
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurses to support the Atlanta VA Health Care Center located at 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. Nurses may also be asked to provide services at Community Based Outpatient Centers (CBOC). Multiple shift schedules are available. Responsibilities
IR RNs shall work in accordance with the policies of the VA healthcare system where assigned. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Willing/able to wear lead protective overing and withstand long periods of standing while working around X-ray generating equipment
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components
- Administers moderate sedation with the appropriate patient monitoring, assessment, and documentation
- Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stage, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences
- Provides a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems
- Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team
- Poised and articulated in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds
- Works cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments
- Participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Three (3) years of recent IR RN work experience is required
- No sponsorship available
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
