Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting an Anesthesiologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm with call on weekends and holidays. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available.

Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia care
- Perform general and regional anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries (cardiac, orthopedic, urology, thoracic, ENT, etc.)
- Supervise and educate CRNAs, residents, and medical staff
- Provide anesthesia in various areas: GI/endoscopy, IR, ICU, cardiac cath lab, ECT procedures
- Participate in quality improvement, morbidity and mortality reviews, and departmental meetings
- Comply with all documentation and record-keeping requirements in the VA's EHR
- Be available for emergency procedures during on-call shifts (respond on-site within 60 minutes)
- Maintain communication with other departments for patient management and coordination
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS
- NPI report printout
- Active DEA license
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
