Pharmacist (Inpatient/Outpatient)
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Pharmacists to support the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) primarily located at 650 East Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012. The schedule is typically either days or overnight shifts. Responsibilities
- Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
- Provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Advise providers on drug selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
- Evaluate medication orders for duplications, incompatibilities, and allergies.
- Identify and address therapeutic issues, such as incorrect dosage or strength.
- Recommend alternative therapies in line with VA formulary guidelines.
- Counsel patients on prescription drugs and durable medical equipment.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, providers, and staff.
- Enter and verify medication orders in the VA’s electronic health record system (VistA).
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for controlled substances.
- Maintain strict security and inventory control for all medications.
Requirements
- US Citizen
- Degree Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited College or School of Pharmacy.
- Must hold either a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharmacy) or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Full, current, and unrestricted license in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Must be licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
