Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Medical Support Assistants (Medical Receptionists) that is to primarily support the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System located at 1601 East Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661. Working hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Responsibilities
Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic waitlists
Process consults, including intake, outreach, and coordination with providers
Adjust appointment times, locations, or providers based on clinic needs
Conduct daily reviews of consults, recall lists, and pending appointments
Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, families, and staff
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and resolve concerns promptly
Provide clear instructions and explain VA processes and procedures
Handle complaints and work toward resolution within established timelines
Perform receptionist duties and support clinic operations
Maintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics/units
Operate office equipment and manage documentation
Deliver messages and coordinate communication across departments
Accurately input and update patient information in VA systems (CPRS/EHRM)
Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
Verify patient identity using required identifiers
Follow HIPAA, privacy, and VA regulations
Maintain confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information
Work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Coordinate with VA and non-VA providers and external partners
Support clinic operations and workload management activities
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
Ability to work remotely and independently in a professional setting.
Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation (NACI) and PIV credential.
No physical or health restrictions that would interfere with job performance.
Ability to complete all required VA onboarding, security, privacy, and mandatory training prior to and during assignment.
U.S. citizenship required.
