Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Boiler Plant Operator/Boiler Technician to support the Nashville VA Medical Center located at 1310 24th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37212. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of shift schedules. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
  • Start‑up and shut‑down of high‑pressure boilers
  • Operate plant equipment, safety systems, and controls
  • Perform daily operational logs and documentation
  • Conduct routine maintenance and monthly PMs
  • Prepare systems for inspections
  • Test all boiler safety devices
  • Operate emergency generators
  • Monitor facility utility systems, pressures, alarms, and gauges
  • Perform additional VA utility system operator tasks
Qualifications
  • 5+ years working with high‑pressure steam boilers (up to 2,500 HP)
  • Must be trained/certified in:
    • OSHA‑10
    • BEI Safety Testing (on‑site)
    • AutoFlame Factory Training
    • AERCO Factory Training
    • Direct Logic Factory Training
    • C‑More Factory Training
    • Confined Space Entry
    • VHA “Safe Steaming” Course
    • 360 Training – Boiler Operator Certification
  • Must complete 90 days of on‑site VA training before working independently
  • No sponsorship available.

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
