Multiple shift schedules are available. Responsibilities
- Utilize observation skills for data collection, reporting and recording patient/resident observations.
- Reports patient observations to the RN and or other members of the treatment team.
- Organizes and obtains routine supplies and equipment.
- Safeguard the patient's right to privacy by judiciously protecting information of a confidential nature.
- Uses proper safety practices.
- Performs and documenting prescribed medical treatment and interventions for patients, such as diabetic urine testing and blood testing, simple dressing changes.
- Engage in-group activities such as off-station trips, reality orientation, current events and other therapeutic groups with direction and close supervision.
- Administers complete tracheostomy care, including suctioning.
- Removes defective equipment, reports hazards, observes safety regulations, contributes to infection control, and utilizes proper aseptic technique in performance of duties.
- Serves as the unit safe patient handling liaison.
- Orients members of the health care team to the units as appropriate.
- Manages distributed patient behavior and by appropriately intervenes and request assistant from other health care members.
- Appropriately initiates basic life support, takes actions appropriate action.
- Licensed as a CNA
- Be trained and experienced in hospital nursing
- Has and maintains current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with performance of assigned duties

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
