Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) to work with us in support of the East Orange VA Medical Center located at 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities
- Perform vascular ultrasound examinations using diagnostic ultrasound equipment, including:
- Cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vascular studies
- Doppler imaging, waveform analysis, and intracranial exams
- Capture, document, and evaluate high‑quality diagnostic images
- Enter preliminary findings and reports into the VA electronic health record (CPRS/VistA)
- Communicate results clearly and professionally with VA providers
- Review consults and assist with appropriate scheduling of vascular studies
- Serve as a liaison between the vascular lab, providers, and patients
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, manage supplies, and perform basic troubleshooting
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with VA policies
- Respond to patient and provider inquiries
- Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings
- Complete required documentation, including notes for delayed or pending studies
- Adhere to all VA clinical, ethical, and professional standards
Qualifications
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification through ARDMS
- Active, full, unrestricted license to practice vascular ultrasound in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing vascular ultrasound studies
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and disease processes
- Proficiency with Doppler imaging and advanced vascular exams
- Ability to document and communicate clinical findings accurately
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
- Ability to pass VA background checks (NCHC and NACI)

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
