Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support the Dayton VA Medical Center located at 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428. Available shift schedules include days and evening. Responsibilities
- Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing
- Analyze, verify, and accurately report test results
- Complete STAT testing within 60 minutes of receipt
- Communicate critical values to providers and document read‑back
- Perform and document quality control (QC) and proficiency testing
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Manage reagents, supplies, and inventory
- Follow laboratory SOPs, CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and VA standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of results, QC, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and patient safety regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months of experience
- Must hold current MLT certification from:
- ASCP (BOC or BOR)
- AMT
- American Association of Bioanalysts
- No sponsorship available
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
