Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for:
- General, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, ENT, urologic, ophthalmologic, plastic, and cardiac surgeries
- GI, radiology, MRI, cath lab, and ECT procedures
- Perform pre‑operative evaluations and intra‑operative anesthesia management
- Manage:
- Airway (basic and advanced)
- Regional, local, and general anesthesia
- Invasive monitoring (arterial lines, central lines, PA catheters)
- Acute and chronic pain management
- Provide anesthesia support for:
- ICU patients
- PACU issues
- Emergency airway management
- Respond to consults at bedside or clinic as needed
- Provide on‑call coverage:
- Weeknights
- Weekends
- Federal holidays
- Be available by phone within 15 minutes and on‑site within 60 minutes while on call
- MD or DO
- Active, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Completion of an ACGME‑accredited anesthesiology residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (ABA preferred)
- AHA BLS & ACLS (current)
- DEA license
- NPI
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
