Interventional Cardiologist
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a Interventional Cardiologist to support the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLCHCS) located at 500 Foothill Blvd, Salt Lake City, UT 84148. This is primarily for on-call coverage. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Competitive full-time and PRN pay packages are available to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities
- Provide on-call Interventional Cardiology Physician services onsite.
- Deliver consultative cardiology and interventional cardiology services.
- Perform and manage procedures including:
- Cardiac catheterization
- Percutaneous coronary interventions
- Balloon angioplasty
- Atherectomy
- Coronary and peripheral vascular stenting
- Intravascular ultrasound
- Intracoronary Doppler flow measurements
- Rheolytic thrombectomy
- Pericardiocentesis
- Endocardial biopsies
- Intra-aortic balloon pump placement
- High-risk coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.
- Manage patients before, during, and after interventional procedures.
- Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions.
- Follow all medication policies and procedures.
- Communicate test results according to VHA requirements.
- Document care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Complete QA/QI documentation regarding procedures, complications, and outcomes.
- Complete sign-in and sign-out documentation using VA-issued government email.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited residency program leading to board certification eligibility in Cardiology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the Unites States, or in the District of Columbia.
- No history of:
- License suspension
- License restriction
- License revocation
- Voluntary surrender
- Pending disciplinary action
- License denial.
- Must maintain current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current DEA registration
- National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
